Monterey Park has a large Chinese American community. If this was specifically linked at targeting at Lunar New Year célébration, it is even more horrible. And there are likely dead children.

They will have more info. It takes time. If shooter had their face covered, it will be even harder.

It definitely seems targeted, not a random act of violence. Based on social media posts, the dance studio seemed to host all type of dance events for people of all ethnicities & backgrounds. The venue is truly a Los Angeles melting pot. Very sad.

It could be a targeted execution of the club owner or a patron. The subsequent indiscriminate shooting could have been a strategy to throw off the investigation. The police won’t make an assumption; they’ll investigate.

Unless there is an invisible barrier surrounding California that vaporizes weapons bought elsewhere or brought into the state illegally, then gun laws do little unless those laws exist everywhere. Some gun nut from TX with a million guns can just bring one into CA. There are too many EXISTING guns in American homes.

They need strict laws, changes to 2d amendment given our fascist, bought SCOTUS, and gun buyback programs.

America is in decline. It's been in decline for almost 50 years. I'm encouraging my kids to go to college abroad. You have one political party that is dedicated to the rights of the few at the expense of the rest of us.
