AFL is the legal group created by former Trump oberleutnant Stephen Miller. The group, which fancies itself as some conservative counter to the ACLU, has had some success harassing the Biden administration by judge shopping in courts stocked with Trump nominees to sue to stop policies that benefit black farmers, women-owned businesses, etc, on the grounds they discriminate against white people.
Now it’s coming for LCPS: https://wjla.com/news/local/loudoun-county-public-schools-possible-title-ix-nine-violation-investigation-afl-department-education-superintendent-scott-ziegler-wayde-byard-youngkin-miyares-america-first-legal-foundation-lcps-sex-discrimination-assaults-virginia I don’t know what it is with these right-wing provocateurs meddling in our schools, but I have had quite enough of it. |
He is terrifying, and the long term repercussions of what he’s doing are shocking. I don’t know why this isn’t getting more press |
I am so glad we left LCPS. Cheaper housing is not worth that shitshow. |
Title IX was one of the first things that came to my mind when the story broke. Transferring students accused of sexual assault from one campus to another with nothing in place to protect the girls and women at the second location is a very common Title IX violation. \I'm glad that someone is doing it even if I hate Stephen Miller |
I totally stand with you. However by VA electing Youngkin they opened the door to more of this shit. Miller is dangerous. What I don't understand is why anyone listens to that twat? Until Miller is jailed which may never happen he will continue to try and destroy the US |
This is just some blatant white supremacy stuff. And it’s also basically a form of self-enrichment, like a congressional staffer who gets some regulation into law and then opens a business focused on compliance with the new regulation when they go into the private sector. |
+1 |
That isn’t Stephen Miller’s concern here. |
Loudoun is a blue county. Youngkin lost here. I realized he squeaked by in the state, but no one should confuse Loudoun with being Youngkin country. This may be why the right-wing keeps trying to beat the schools dead horse here. It’s exploitative. |
The letter is only 12 pages, and you obviously didn't bother reading it. |
Oh, I read it. Bad-faith remarks like the public was removed from a meeting for applauding a speaker told me all I need to know. |
Too bad no feminist group cared enough to do anything. Students accused of sexual assault were moved from one school to the next without any thought given to the women and girls at the second school. The administration then lied about it. I don't care who the lawyers are, LCPS deserves to be taken through the ringer over this. If this was a district in Alabama and Gloria Allred was leading the case, people would be cheering, but because this is a blue county with a blue school board, the girls and their families are supposed to shut up and be quiet. |
I live in Loudoun. Overall, it's purple but Eastern Loudoun trends blue. It's a big county. |
so called feminist groups are just part of the patriarchy. They don't care about girls or women. A rapist who identifies, according to his mother, as gender fluid and pan sexual, is more important than girls. |
