Rate my breakfast

Trying to gauge if my breakfasts are healthy/a good staple. Overall want to lose weight, but without calorie counting. Just finding reliable, easy things to eat at work. Any other suggestions are welcome. I don't eat at home, but have fridge/freezer/microwave/toaster oven at work

Today:
Chobani Vanilla No Zero Sugar Yogurt
Medium Banana
1/2 cup of Grape Nuts

Mixed together in a bowl. It was very thick, so I drank water with it 16-20 oz.

What type of artificial sweeteners are in the yogurt? It seems like it has those and fake flavors. I’d ditch that and go for full fat Greek yogurt for the protein (which you’re lacking).

If you enjoy it, feel full, and it feels manageable then 10/10.

I think artificial sweeteners and bananas are disgusting, but for me I feel like a full fat yogurt with a non-banana fruit, and some granola or cereal on top is a good breakfast.

Kind of low in protein. I also personally avoid all that processed stuff. I'd rather eat a couple of eggs and call it a day. But you have to figure out what works for you. I also tend to not eat breakfast, IF style.

There are better and less processed sources of protein and dairy. Try cottage cheese or full fat plain yogurt (I dislike Greek yogurt myself, it usually has things added to make it thick). Consider adding some slivered almonds or walnuts.

I am very wary of processed food, especially yogurt. I recently starting making my own in the instant pot and am shocked by how easy and delicious it was. Otherwise, I’d think about doing a couple of hard boiled egg whites + slice of whole wheat sourdough + banana.

I prefer the Chobani regular yogurt, which has about 50 more calories but no fake sugar and keeps you full longer (theoretically). You can use half a container if you like. I'd balance that by using a different lower-calorie/sugar fruit if it matters to you. Consider adding some nuts if you need to be full longer.

I like the Chobani regular/cherry + frozen berries + cinnamon + a cereal sprinkle like Special K or Maple Pecan flakes or something.

I find plain, whole milk yogurt more filling, so that's worth trying if you haven't already. I add frozen blueberries.

How much protein do you usually get at breakfast? Or with your meals, since it's not regular meal for you?

Sounds good, OP.

I had brioche toast and cheddar, so no judging here!

Have you tried overnight oats? 1/2 cup of oats, add a sprinkle of chia seeds, mix in about 3/4 cup of liquid (I do a combo of Kefir and oat milk), teaspoon of almond butter, small handful of frozen berries. Make before bed and eat next morning with sliced banana on top.s

I prefer savory breakfasts, so my idea of a decent, reasonably healthy one would be a breakfast sandwich. Whole wheat muffin, slice of cheese, 1 egg, maybe some avocado, some spicy condiment like harissa or salsa.
I also like leftover lentil soup or bean chili with an egg on top.

2/10 sounds gross

I do something similar. I also prefer to skip the fake sugar and forced myself to get used to plain yogurt. I don't care for banana but I use frozen fruit or berries, defrosted just partially enough to mash some into the yogurt to cut the sourness of the yogurt. A sprinkle of cinnamon or splash of vanilla extract can help too.
