Post Covid fatigue

Anonymous
Tested positive for COVID on Dec 24, was symptomatic (like a very very bad cold/mild flu). Out of the masking/quarantine window now on day 12 but I’m soooo tired. Still have some congestion and mucus in my throat (sorry for TMI), but the fatigue is the worst part. How long can I expect to feel like this?

At least another week. Maybe even two more weeks. I wasn’t fully recovered until about 4 weeks.

Nobody knows. It took me three months to fully recover. I don’t think that’s uncommon.

Mine lasted 6 weeks.

For me lasted about 8 weeks

Mine lasted 3.5 months. It got better over that time, but even in the 4th month there were days I needed to nap.

It’s only been 10 days. You could turn around soon.

I tested positive on the 18th and negative on the 26th and I STILL have symptoms - congestion, and productive cough. I can barely remember what wellness feels like.

Just to give you hope- I never had fatigue, so maybe you’ll bounce back quickly.

I'm the PP above you and I'm starting to wonder if this is what happened to me.

I'll be at 3 weeks tomorrow and I'm still really struggling with fatigue. I can start out okay in the mornings, but after lunch I feel like I need to go to bed for the night and I'm struggling to parent the rest of the day. I also have some lingering throat congestion.

I can't imagine another 3-10 weeks of this, but also I'm relieved to hear that people did eventually recover.

For me the fatigue, accompanied by brain fog, only lasted a few days. My case of Covid was a mild cold for a week.

I'd try a supplement like Z-stack to see if it helps you shake off the post-Covid fog. And a good plant based multivitamin with iron.

I started feeling sick in the 19th, tested positive on the 20th. Didn’t test negative till the 31st. I was feeling fatigued till the end of this week. Just one day I finally slept and started feeling better. I thought it was because I finally started testing negative on NYE and joined neighbors and drank. I definitely don’t think it helped. I hope you’re feeling more like yourself soon!
