Apparently it even affected White House helicopters.

What a nice city.

A homeless man beat another homeless man to death with a metal pole right next to the White House. Absolutely insane. The city is out of control.

Oh wow... Crazy sh*t happening everywhere.

3 homicides in 4 days is not a great way to start the new year.

Three years in a row at 200+ murders and everyone on the Council gets a free toaster.

Killers now know DC protects them.

Plus the penalties for violent crimes in dc are being reduced. It’s veto proof

We need humane mental institutions and stronger involuntary commitment laws. Our nation's de facto mental health policy of letting the severely mentally ill encamp in major cities and self-medicate with hard drugs is cruel.

Yeah well you have to staff these institutions. Good luck with that.

I can't imagine that someone who beat someone to death with a pole was doing a detailed cost-benefit analysis, adjusting for the length of the expected prison sentence. In some rare cases, that might have an effect, but not these. This appears to be a symptom of the failure of our social supports.

DC doesn’t control the Ellipse; USSS and maybe NPS law enforcement are responsible.

This isn’t a city government issue.

Ok good luck with all that. Back in the real world, we need more police and harsher sentences.
