| I feel bad for the innocent who were affected by this and I’m so sick of this. |
| And, yet, our government does nothing... |
Extremely frustrating. The residents of DC keep electing leaders that lead to this result. |
well Dc passed a law to go softer on violent crime |
Actually, the government is following the will of the people. Those people wanted fewer police and softer penalties for violent criminals. Remember, we'd rather have many, many, many black lives die in gun violence than have a tiny, tiny, tiny number of black people die from unprovoked police brutality . . . . because only black lives that die from unprovoked police brutality matter. |
No the government has been going against the will of the people. People want the guns off the street but republicans make sure that will never happen. This is years of republican policies that are soft on criminals and remove all accountability for police to actually do their job. |
Nailed it. |

Literally a block from a police station two.
We already hit 200+ murders for two years in a row and have a start on the hat trick. Take a bow, Bowser. |
Don't you know? We just need another police station right there then it wouldn't have happened. |
And yet you voted for this government, again and again. Over and over, as if she will every change.
|
This is not about guns honey, if you think you can remove every gun from every criminal or person who wants to do something like this, you are insane. Look at all the school shootings in gun free zones. This is so much bigger than guns, it's a societal, cultural problem that is becoming the norm. Less policing and presence has had an obvious negative impact on the quality of life in this city. |
I voted with my feet and moved to MD. I won't say it's rosy here, but at least it's better than DC when it comes to crime. |
How about taking guns away from anyone with a criminal record? |
