| They need to build a new one that way we can get across the Potomac instead of relying on the American Legion bridge, Woodrow Wilson bridge in the 301 bridge |
14th street, memorial, or Key may work for you |
This has been discussed ad nauseum. Google it for the reasons why it won't happen |
What are the reasons |
Lack of guts from MD politicians. |
| The lack of a new bridge matters less and less. MD is becoming an economic backwater to VA. Hence, the embarrassing desperation of MD lawmakers to land the new FBI headquarters. |
Also, the bridge at Point of Rocks. A new bridge in Maryland would require a new highway in Montgomery County, and that's not going to happen, fortunately. |
| I would be up for a new bridge if it were for bikes, peds and light rail or metro. We don't need another bridge for cars. |
It's a shame there's no political will to explore a multimodal corridor like this between Tysons and Bethesda using an expanded Legion Bridge. Toll lanes aren't the answer. |
| Don’t trr we ll anyone about Chain Bridge. |
| They need to build a tunnel from route 28 over to Montgomery county |
The updates to the American Legion Bridge will include a bike path on the bridge. |
Only one reason: Maryland. |
|
Anyone who has studied the history of Los Angeles freeways/highways should know that any money put towards adding lanes or any type of bridges isn't going to fix the traffic problems.
You buy a single family home in the suburbs and its your problem. |
A bike path that a paucity of people will use. Light rail is needed. |
