A new report released yesterday with details about MCPS administrators misusing credit cards is the same old story. It's why teachers are on DonorsChoose begging for money for classroom supplies.

Maybe teachers would like to know that MCPS administrators can buy kayak covers with MCPS credit cards and don't have to go to DonorsChoose?

I didn't need to watch the hearings to be honest. It was clear they tried to overthrow the gov back when it happened. The rest was just grandstanding. If it were up to me they'd be in jail by now.

Another NP here. OP - did you even actually read the story that you posted? It's pretty clear that MCPS found the problem based on an internal audit, reported it to the police, and then also hired an external auditor for more detailed investigation.

Here's a WTOP article from Nov 2021 about MCPS notifying the police after their internal audit noticed the problem.

Didn't read the Investigative Report either, did you? So much time spent covering up what is in the Report. It must be really important to you to cover up what went on.
You don't want anyone to read what the Inspector General said about MCPS or the Board of Education, do you?
You don't want anyone to find out how widespread the credit card abuse was, do you? You certainly don't want anyone to find out what the money was spent on.
Let's keep teachers on DonorsChoose begging for markers while MCPS administrators buy covers for their kayaks.
