China literally has police setup in Western countries to try to shutp its citizens while they are in foreign countries. Canadians are naive clown shows letting their country be taken over by China.

| Big Education is communist and authoritarian. Always leaned that way but now 100 percent. Evil in its purest form |
| There should be an investigation into who did this, and to have their visas stripped if they are chinese nationals, have them expelled if they are embassy staff. |
| In graduate school, there was a Chinese student who did a paper on Tianamen Square. She knew nothing of it until she came here. It was fascinating to see her over the course of our program realize how much China lies to their citizens. |
so, your kid is not going to college, I take it? |
I think enough of a vandalism charge to justify a night in DC Jail would be appropriate |

A lot of Chinese students support censorship and report China's critics to their embassy.

This. They also try to portray any criticism of China as racist. |
Yes but others do not and fight like hell to stay after graduation. |
WTF are you talking about? The universities aren't the ones targeting Chinese students. It's far likely more Chinese nationals working for Xi's regime who are monitring the activities of Chinese students on American campuses to harrass them if they step out of line. |
| This also affects non-Chinese students as well, and this is exactly what the CCP wants. Professors know that they have Chinese students in class, so that means they will avoid teaching topics like Taiwan, Tienamen Square, or the horrors of what occured under Mao because it could potentially box in Chinese students in class and get them in trouble with the CCP at home. That means any American students in those classes at well will not be taught those topics because the CCP is softly interfering with what gets taught in class. China is already imposing its censorship on Americans and not just Chinese students at US universities. |
Good thing you avoided education do as to not understand the most basic facts about “communism.” |
In history classes? Those professors should have an essay about Tienamen and use it as an easy way to fail the CCP loyalists |
The universities get a lot of money from full pay Chinese students. They do not want to upset China. They let in the Confucius Institute as part of their currying favor, and this is probably the center of Chinese policing on campus. |
