When someone stops eating rice , bread, pasta completely , when you've been eating rice all your life, can your hair fall out?
I honestly was so stupid to do something like this and my mind is killing me. I feel like im being bombarded with information on how to eat , what to eat, like "dont eat salt!" or "never eat after 6!" and everything i've learned about food from my childhood and at school were merely "recommendations" when they weren't. That's the healthy way of living and what celebrities tell us is not healthy. And because I cutout bread, rice and pasta for 3 months on the third month my hair fell out in clumps. I have been eating rice now but the hair isnt growing back... Any help? ![]() ![]() |
Hair loss is hormonal, what you eat impacts your hormones, so I guess so. |
I can't imagine bread, rice, or pasta being cut from a diet would result in hair loss. Maybe weight loss if they were previously over eaten?
I would look to other possible reasons and consider meeting with your PCP and maybe a Derm ... hormones, reaction to hair products, age, temporary medication side effect, etc. |
The only foods where I can see this happening would be animal protein foods. |
Did you lose weight during that time? Rapid weight loss can cause hair loss. Did you have Covid recently? That can cause hair loss. Are you getting enough vitamins and minerals in your diet? |
One needs proteins, fatty acids, and zinc i their diet, otherwise hair loss will result (according to a quick Goggle search). |
Yes it can. Cutting food groups, cutting calories, weight loss all can cause hair loss |
If your hair is falling out in clumps, you need to see your doctor. |
Did you have Covid? My hair fell out in clumps for 5 months. |
