Semi-binged today

I’ve been really healthy last few years - successful with weight loss.

I’m being challenged right now - some marital issues and blah job and not sure of way out

Please stop me!

Thanks for listening

It’s okay! You’re totally okay.

One binge won’t throw you off track; your body will compensate to bring itself to equilibrium. Even a short streak of binges won’t cause weight gain in someone who’s otherwise following a healthy diet.

Even so, binging won’t help you feel better so it’s best to avoid. I totally get the urge to eat emotionally, but try to steer yourself away from it. Focus on seeing food as only fuel and nutrition, and look for comfort in non-food avenues—wrapping yourself in a warm and soft blanket, taking a hot bath, getting a massage, stretching, listening to guided meditations, etc. You’re gonna be okay!

Consider 80% on track as a win. 20% whoops is just fine.

Each meal is another opportunity to get on track. Remind yourself how you ate a few months ago and do that again.

OP when I eat junk or sweets then that is what I crave. If you can go back to eating healthily for 5 days, then your body will start craving healthy foods again. Good luck and don't beat yourself up.
