Advent Wreath?

Do you have one? If so, which colors and where do you get it?

We have one. It’s a pewter ring, and I place greenery around it. The candle colors of an Advent wreath should always be 3 purple and one pink. There are prayers associated with the lighting of each candle on the corresponding Sunday of Advent (pink is lit the third Sunday).

You can buy them online or in person at most Catholic stores. I’m sure there are a bunch on Amazon too.

No, that’s only for Catholic wreaths. Protestants often have red candles. Note how you equate Christianity with Catholicism.

Mainline Protestant here who has only ever seen advent wreaths with one pink candle and three purple or blue candles.

ELCA Lutherans are the Wild West of Advent candle colors. It’s been so long since I’ve attended church regularly that I don’t remember what, but it’s blue and red or purple and pink or all natural. The point is the prayers. https://blogs.elca.org/worship/207/

I'm Christian (protestant) and have always had 3 purple, 1 pink and 1 white in the middle. (Note how quickly you made a derogatory comment.)

Derogatory? Most of my best friends are Catholics. By most I mean at least 75%. You can look up the history of advent wreaths if you don’t believe me. But it doesn’t matter to me what colors you use. One thing that’s objectively wrong is that the HAVE to be purple and pink as PP stated. That’s wrong. Even in Catholic countries in Europe, you can buy whichever color you like. Pink, red, white, yellow, gold, whatever. I like white, most people I know have red candles. There’s no rule.

I got a ring from Amazon and use greenery. I use 4 red candles and one white. Sorry, purple and pink don’t say Christmas to me. And I’ve got to believe that god doesn’t really care what color my candles are.

Ours looks something like this. A cheap round metal holder with garland. We put it in the center of the kitchen table. I light the candles once and then never again (I have a weird crazy fear of fire). Three purple candles and one pink candle.

My mother is Catholic and I get her an advent wreath every year. Sometimes I do purple/pink, sometimes red. She doesn't care.
