We’re switching daycares for my 16 month old and keen to find a moderately granola option. Any recommendations? |
I love School for Friends which is pretty granola. Amazing Life Games is another granola option, although I don't know what age it starts. |
Not sure what your criteria are for granola, but you could try a Montessori preschool. ToTH Montessori starts at 18 months. |
2 Birds |
Come on up to Chevy Chase and join the Nature Preschool at the Audubon! |
Amazing Life Games, although I don't know if it goes as young as 16 months. |
OP here. Thank you for the ideas! I hadn’t heard of
most of these before. |
+1 also Franklin Montessori was pretty crunchy (though my experience is not recent). |
Waldorf school, about as crunchy a preschool experience you can have in this area. |
School for Friends used to be great. It is just ok now. The former Head was outstanding, the current one not so great. Go elsewhere. |
This is the daycare I use and confused at why you think it’s a granola option? |
I second School for Friends. We're very happy with the school and appreciate the Quaker principles, and how play-based/outdoor focused it is. |
Terrible school |
You could try NCRC preschool for the 2023-2024 school year, though I’m not sure what you mean by “crunchy” |
Go to Alexandria and Tauxemont until K and then either burgundy farm or if you’re really crunchy, Waldorf crescent or ultra crunchy, river farm |
