Addison or Natalie? I favor one and my husband the other, but we both like each of them. Just curious if one is super popular right now and everyone will be named that. |
Why not Natalie Addison .... ![]() |
Addison gets my vote! |
I know 3 Addisons under the age of 5. It's popular. I do know one baby named Natalie, but it was a family name. Don't think it's super-popular right now. |
I've always loved Nathalie. Addison is a little too preppy/boarding school for me. Sorry! |
Addison is SO popular. I know 3 little girls and 1 boy with it.
Not a fan of Natalie, but I love that it's different and I don't know any. Think of the nicknames though... |
no need to apologize- i prefer Natalie too! |
OP here, since we are really early on in picking a name- tell me if you have a favorite name we might like! |
We find out if we're having a boy or girl next week and if it's a girl I plan to lobby my husband for Amelia which is a recent favorite of mine. He loves Grace but it's pretty common these days. I like names that are a little unusual but not different just for the sake of being different, you know?
All of my childhood favorites are in the top 5 now: Emma, Sofia, Olivia, Isabelle ![]() |
I love Amelia! One of our best friends named her daughter that otherwise that would be on our list too. I hope you husband comes around. I think grace is a great middle name. |
I like Addison...my friend's name is Adelaide and we call her Addie! ![]() |
I prefer Natalie. |
I'm biased towards Natalie, because that's my name. But I also kind of hate Addison and its trendiness and the fact that it's a perfectly fine last name, but just is annoying as a first.
Don't know that I have other suggestions because I can't tell what style you like. (Natalie and Addison are TOTALLY different IMHO) For the other poster, Amelia is awesome. |
I don't like Addison at all. I think Natalie is a great name (probably helps that I know a woman named Natalie that is just fabulous). It is not super popular right now either. |
Hate Addison with every fiber of my being. It's completely unoriginal.
I like Natalie. I've heard of a couple of young girls named Natalie so I think it's experiencing a resurgence, but nothing like the popularity of Addison and all those other ridiculous androgynous names. Some suggestions from Nymbler: Daphne, Cecily, Lila, Josephine, Claire, Camilla, Antonia. |
