I'm 50 and in decent shape. Walking and Barre3 have been my primary workouts for the past few years. But Barre3 has gone through so many changes in their online formats that I just can't get into it anymore. And with age and longstanding sensitive joints, I feel like it would be better to separate out my workouts -- heavy (slow, not light and "to tempo") weights and cardio at the gym. And then pilates (or similar, non cardio) at home.
Any recommendations for more traditional Pilates classes online? |
Pilatesology and pilatesanytime are two sites with lots and lots of options from recognized teachers and leaders in the Pilates industry. Pilatesology is classical. Pilatesanytime has a mix of classical and contemporary. Much better than going the route of following a single person online. |
Although most are not classic Pilates, Fitness Blender has some Pilates workouts. The ones with trainer Amanda are the most like classic. You can filter the workout videos by type and trainer. |

I like Peloton. And Gone Adventuring Pilates, a YouTube practitioner. I did that during the early part of the pandemic and really liked her style. |
