New Georgetown Online Bachelors

$400 per credit hour. Not a bad price for a brand name school. They also accept up to 64 credits in transfer toward the 120 credit degree.

Awesome to see this! Finally a great school willing to actually democratize education in a formal way.

Yeah, but then your diploma says "School of Continuing Studies" on it.

True, but everyone will just put "Georgetown" on their resume, so.....good for jobs, bad for grad school I guess

The thread title seems like an ad for an online dating site featuring Georgetown graduates.

Ugh Harvard has had this since at least the early 80s

Future employers don't ask to see the diploma. The resume will say Georgetown.

As someone desperately seeking to hire talent for a growing digital business, I'd PREFER a stellar online degree. Those grads will hit the ground, or Zoom call, running.

We already recruit from online programs. But we need more degree holders! Like, yesterday.

A GU online degree with solid skills is a plus for those ready to work in the real world sooner rather than later.

Parents shouldn't use our own bias and old school thinking if we want to recession-proof our kids

Another money grab scam LOL

I completely disagree. The money grab is offering tons of classes without actual degrees (which so many schools do at the BA level).
The pricing is also reasonable. This looks like the opposite of a money grab.

Except all employers I know of, Fed or not, are required to verify - and it will be documented both "online" and 'School of Continuing Studies" - one is not great, two are well, really not great.

Yup - because so many grad and undergrad complained about no discount during covid - so they decided to offer a discount - except you are given well....that much less.

WRONG.

All employers aI know of, including myself, verify the information - if the kid wants the job, that is!

Yup. And there is zero edge to graduating from the Extgetion School - because that is what any paperwork states. Zero edge.
