Could I have implantation bleeding on day of expected period?

Anonymous
Period supposed to start today and have veryyy light brownish/reddish blood that doesn’t get on pad and is only seen when I wipe. This isn’t common for my periods as day 1 I’m pretty heavy. Could this be implantation bleeding? And should I wait to test for most accurate result? (36yo and this would be 3rd pregnancy)

The timing doesn’t seem right for implantation bleeding, but anything is possible. Since you’re not even 1 day late yet, the earliest you should test is Sunday. Good luck! Hope it’s positive.

Thank you. Crossing my fingers

You absolutely can, if your cycle is short, or if you ovulated late.

OP here - decided to stop questioning myself and just take a test — pregnant! Nervous what the bleeding means though but it’s still not apparent on underwear just very light when wiping.

Congratulations! What DPO did you test on? I had implantation bleeding that I confused for an odd, very light period with my daughter years ago. That said, back then, my luteal phase was only 10 days so it made sense.

At DPO 12 which is also the day my period was supposed to have started. I don’t think this is implantation bleeding.

Agreed that it isn't implantation bleeding unless you are ovulating super late (that has happened to me). I'm hoping that I just had implantation bleeding 3-5 days post ovulation. Few more days until I can test.

All you can do is test again and ask your doctor for a blood hCG series, to see if the trend is normal or not.

Yes I think so but just test. My positive showed up days before my period was to start.

Congratulations! I had that with my second kid for *two* expected period cycles, so my doctor said it was implantation bleeding but i don't see it. That said, the rest of the pregnancy was totally uneventful and healthy!

Implantation bleeding is not a thing.

Congratulations! I had spotting on the day I expected my period but then it stopped and a week later thought, huh, that was weird. Tested and surprise baby #2!

It happens for some pregnancies, but not all. All within the range of normal.

I had an episode of brown spotting when I expected my period and I ended up being pregnant. I assumed it was implantation bleeding.
