What’s the absolute earliest I can get a Costco pumpkin pie?

I’ll be able to keep it refrigerated.

Now. Wrap it in plastic wrap

Good question OP! I have to bring one to dinner on Thursday. I was just thinking I will need to go early Wednesday morning or late Tuesday.

Good thing I don't like pumpkin pie. I wouldn't want to eat some week old pie. Gross. At least wait until the weekend. No more than 3-4 days old, tops.

I usually dig through them for the latest sell by date. I think 2 days before you're going to eat it is probably ideal.

Oh, sweetie. This should be the least of your worries. Oh, there are so many other, grosser, kitchen secrets people keep close to the chest.

I’d take a week-old Costco pie that’s baked right in front of me by folks wrapped head to toe in sterile gear over the turkey cooked in the house with ten cats by a woman who may or may not have washed her hand after doing that. And “that” is up for interpretation.

Pumpkin pie is quite honestly one of the easiest things to make...

Thanks Dearie, but I host my own Thanksgiving so I know how fresh and safe everything is to eat. I don't serve or eat week old pie.

Costco pie isn't like your home-baked pie, for better or worse. If has tons of stabilizers and preservatives simply because it's a commercially prepared product. A week is pie more is fine.

What do you think will happen to that Costco pie? Seriously asking, what is gross about it (assuming you are someone who is ok with store bought pie in the first place).

We had a Costco apple pie a few years ago that was moldy within a few days. Who know what's living on a pie after a few days. Again, I don't like pumpkin pie at all but they aren't meant to last the entire holiday season. There will be plenty of pies between now and next Wednesday.

One week is not the entire holiday season.
If it was moldy within a few days, it sounds like you are only ok with same day pie?

The pie you buy on Wednesday was made more than a week ago.

I previously said 3-4 days tops. Any other questions?
