Looking for new breakfast ideas

Anonymous
I am bored to death with my breakfasts and looking for new suggestions that are high protein, relatively low calorie, and fast.

Currently I either eat a hardboiled egg or two with fruit or a whole wheat English muffin with goat cheese and fruit. I went through a phase where I made mini frittatas and then reheated them, but I got annoyed with having to prep them every Sunday. Also did a smoked salmon phase but trying not to be too high sodium.

I feel like I'm chasing a unicorn, but any suggestions?

A Parfait, with yogurt, oats and fruit?

Cereal with nuts and fruit and some kind of milk?

Peanut butter on a waffle?

Smoothie?

Breakfast burrito?

Avocado toast?

Good luck. I often get bored with my options.

scrambled eggs with:
salsa and cheddar
spinach, mushrooms, and swiss
spinach, marinara and mozzarella
broccoli and cheddar

I scramble mine in the microwave, which may diminish the quality somewhat, but it’s fast and convenient. By the time I’ve made my my additions to the eggs, I really don’t care that they were microwaved.

As I’ve gotten older, I tend not to care so much about “breakfast” foods for breakfast. Have a sandwich, leftovers, etc.

Whole wheat tortilla microwaved with shredded cheese and rolled up

Kashi high protein cereal with berries

Greek yogurt with berries, with or without granola

I do plain whole milk yogurt, low sugar granola, chia seeds and (this time of year) frozen blueberries. Very filling.

What do you consider high protein?

StayFitMom has some good breakfast options.

I also like Lesssgitfit meal prep videos. She preps breakfast every Friday on her IG.

Our breakfast rotation is:

Breakfast burritos- eggs, sometimes sausage, cheese, potatoes, black beans, sometimes hash
Eggs- poached, scrambled, over easy with hash or muffins
Toast w/ butter and jelly plus jones chicken sausage - daves non white bread is 5g per slice plus chicken sausage 3links= 10g add 20-30g protein shake =35-45g
Protein smoothies plus muffin- find a muffin recipe you like that has 5-10g per serving
Protein pancakes- there are 100s of recipes out there. It isnt worth it to me personally. I would rather drink a protein shake with it.
Greek yogurt plus granola and fruit

Fairlife will increase protein content of any item made with milk.

Cottage cheese and fruit is my go to, or a handful of almonds and fruit.

Breakfast sandwich - bagel or english muffin or toast with cheese, egg, meat (bacon, sausage, canadian bacon, turkey sausage, etc)

I have a sandwich maker which makes it super easy.
