Do you like it when your children/their families visit your home?

Why or why not?

I like my children visiting but can't say about families yet. I hope it works out well and their spouses see our home as a place where they are welcome and loved, even if it's different from their oen family's home and we can't meet all of their needs.

Love it! I’m always happy to see them.

Tell me more about "can't meet all of their needs"? I wouldn't expect them to stay if you can't meet all their needs. Now wants are a bit different, but needs are important.

I meant not being able to afford all the luxury they are used to.

I still think details matter. Sure maybe there's a queen bed, instead of a king. Maybe a hall bath instead of an en suite. But if there's 8 people sharing one bathroom, or a double bed for an adult couple, or you are expecting adults to sleep on air mattresses or couches, I'd leave room for them to stay elsewhere when they visit.

No major inconvenience but retired middle class can't provide as much as a wealthy business family.
