If you work out at home, do you repeat clothing?

Anonymous
I work out every morning, at home (in unfinished basement), by myself. If I wear a new pair of workout pants each time, I would have to do an extra load of laundry each week (we only do laundry 1x/week and I have 3 pairs of pants). Is it gross to repeat workout clothing if no one else is around me when I'm wearing it? I put my workout clothes on immediately before, and shower immediately after.

Do you get sweaty? If so I would feel gross. But you have to weigh extra laundry vs feeling gross and ditch whichever bugs you more. You do you.

It depends on what kind of workout clothes and what kind of workout. My sweet soaked running shorts get washed every wear. I might wear my yoga pants, which I wear with underwear and don’t get sweaty, more than once to a class even.

Depends on the workout, how much you sweat, season, everything. I do repeat when I lift weights, assuming I did not get sweaty. If I incorporate HIIT or other type of cardio, I need to wash.

OP here. This makes me feel better! I lift weights most days - any time I run I wash everything.

I wear the exact same workout clothes (minus socks, which I change) Mon-Thurs. Then Friday morning I shower and go into the office. Live by myself. Do laundry once a month.

I am a very sweaty person, so that's a hell no from me. Even if I'm strength training I still do 10 minutes of cardio to warm up, stretching, etc. and that (for me) means I'm always breaking a sweat. Reusing leggings, underwear, or sports bra (what I wear to work out at home) after sweating in it would be gross. But I get that not everyone starts to sweat when they so much as look at a treadmill so if you're not damp with sweat at the end, I wouldn't see anything wrong with reusing outer clothes.

Depends on the type of workout. If I didnt get that sweaty, I'll absolutely wear it again. With my running clothes, I'll re-wear something if it doesn't smell. But even then its usually 2x max.

Most of my workouts are outdoors or at home anyway, so no one is smelling me. If I go to the gym I make sure I have something fresh.

Yes if they're not smelly. I can sweat like crazy with no residual odor on the clothes and think it's fine to use them a few more times, why not.

Man here. I wear a shirt that wicks the sweat away. When I'm done, I lay it out so it can dry. I use it a few days straight. No issues with smell that I've noticed.

I wear baggy shorts and those don't get sweat really. Underwear does but I shower and change it right after working out anyway.

Just go on amazon and get the fake lulu pants. Czy or kosykoala. They are like 20 bucks.

+2 I would love to be able to wear my clothes more before watching them, but I would disgust myself with the stink. Plus honestly it makes me feel better to have on fresh clothes.
