I let my 3 year old eat in front of the TV. I set up a snack table for him and put the food on it.
I also like to eat out way more than I should. |
|
We eat out a lot on the weekends. Too much.
My lazy dinner for the kids is frozen pancakes and sausage. But it's turkey sausage, so I tell myself it's ok. |
|
When DH is not home for dinner, I just eat pasta. I try to give the kids a veggie/fruit with it, but I just eat the pasta.
Sometimes I make cookie dough and hide it from him. |
I feed mine in front of the TV - especially breakfast. If I didn't feed them I know they wouldn't it. |
| I give DD dessert every night. |
| I'm pregnant with #2 and have had virtually every prohibited food on the list! |
|
I sometimes find myself counting down the time until my DS goes to bed, so I can break out the tortilla chips.
"Desert night" is driven more by my want for desert than any schedule (or any acknowledgement of how much sugar my son has already had). When I want ice cream, I make an excuse to take my son to the hardware store, so he can "talk me into getting icecream" at the nearby shop. |
| I love this thread. I am gulity of 99.9% of these items. I find comfort in numbers, especially the tv. I swear it would be WW III and he wouldn't eat. I tell myself 4.5 for family dinners! |
what's 4.5? sounds like something i can use to make myself feel better about the nuggets, pasta, an dmac and cheese diet i feed my kid. my confessions are like PPs -- we eat a lot of dessert and i entice my kid into asking for ice cream. hey, PP, any chance the hardware store near ice cream is ayers? if so, did that ice cream place change hands? any good? |
| I let my kid eat ramen on "special occasions." He LOVES it, but it's so bad! |
| We only have sit down meals when friends come over for dinner. Otherwise, DS (11) eats in front of the TV and I eat at the kitchen counter, in front of the TV or in front of DCUM. DH comes home late and actually eats alone at the table. |
This. |
Desert night? Sounds sandy and hot. I'd much rather have dessert night. |
Do you really care about spelling that much? Get a life. |
Old, crotchety Mrs. Robertson is that you?! Because you sound just like my 5th grade teacher... "Can I go to the restroom?" "I don't know...CAN you?" Good Lord. |
