I have about 15 pounds of baby weight I’d like to use. I started Whole 30 for November. How much weight did you lose on it? I have a work event in December and would love to fit into my old clothes. |
I’d focus on getting a nice dress that I feel comfortable in. Whole 30 is really stressful in my opinion, especially with Thanksgiving coming up. Too many rules. I lost 6lbs. |
Whole 30 is terrible a d borders on disordered eating. It also messes with your gut microbiome. If you cut out certain foods for a month then start reintroducing them you will get some gi distress with some. People wrongly assume they are allergic or intolerant to that specific food. I. Reality your gut needs time to get acclimated again to digesting that food. Definitely a type of orthorexia. |
Yeah, this. There’s a reason you’re not getting a lot of traction with this post. Most people see it for what it is: disordered eating. |
I lost 4 lbs in a month. It is not a great fat loss diet . if you really want to lose then follow whole 30 along with tracking calories. |
None. |
OP with an update.
I'm pretty impressed so far. The last time I tried Whole30 was 10ish years ago, when they didn't allow potatoes. Now with potatoes, I'm finding it pretty easy. My meals are meat, sweet or regular potatoes, a veggie, and a fruit. I'm on Day 5 and can tell I've lost a ton of water weight. My clothes are all much loser, and I don't feel the usual bloat in my body. I used to only be able to get my pre-pregnancy pants up to my knees, and now I can get them to my upper thighs. I don't have any cravings. Zero temptation to eat my kid's Halloween candy, when I normally would have eaten most of it by now. I had a sweet potato last night and it actually tasted almost too sweet for me, so I guess my taste buds are adjusting to less sugar. I'm rarely hungry anymore, when I used to be ravenous most of the time. I'm realizing a lot of my hunger was really just cravings. I've always needed a large breakfast and multiple snacks, but now I find myself not being hungry until 11/12, and then not again until 7/8pm. When I want to snack, it's usually out of boredom, not true hunger, and I go find something else to do. I gave up coffee creamer and WOW. I had forgotten what coffee actually tasted like, I was so used to dumping in tons of creamer and sugar. Now I really appreciate how good coffee is. I get that it's too restrictive for many people, but I've come to realize that I truly can't control myself once junk foods enter the picture. Once I start eating them, I can't stop. Cutting them out completely has made me feel more in control of my cravings so far. And I don't particularly like most grains or beans, so those are easy to not eat very much of. |
