Cadillac drivers?

How does a Caddy measure up to the typical luxury brands like BMW, Benz, Audi, etx.? The 2023 CT4 blackwing and CT5 sedans look fire and got outstanding reviews on Car and Driver. I never hear a lot of talk about Caddies though. Are they just not popular for a reason?

American made crap. I wouldn’t be caught dead in an American car. Garbage cars fir garbage people in a garbage country.

I had one and absolutely loved it.

Like driving on a pillow in a quiet room.

Nice cars. But if I'm dropping that much on an American-made luxury car, I'd rather spend just a fraction more and get a fun Corvette.

I owned a Cadillac, BMW and Mercedes.

The 2011 Cadillac I had 11 years no problem I have to kid to take to college. It is a CTS and still looks hot.

BMW was great handling and fit. But maint was a kill

Mercedes was a month pit

The best thing about America is we allow anyone to leave and never come back. So, why are you still here?

Don’t let the screen door hit you on your way out.

Caddies are under appreciated. Too many luxury drivers drink the BMW, Mercedes, and Audi kool-aid.

I think they have brand baggage that’s hard to shake – even though I recognize that they are perfectly nice cars. This GenXer associates them with older people – because that’s what my grandparents drove when I was a kid. I cannot bring myself to do the math that would confirm that they bought those “old people cars” around the age I am now. So Caddies aren’t even on my radar because, in my head, I’m not old.

Fellow Gen X and agree. Caddies occupy the same space as Buicks in my mind. Maybe I’ll be inclined to buy one in about 20 years.

As a Cadillac owner I totally disagree. I get my Caddie serviced in Bethesda. Surprising around 75 percent of customers are black. Many loaded. I met some really rich people. I only go oil changes or a tire and wait.

I met a young black CEO buying a loaded Escalade and his Limo driver was with him in his other Cadillac. Dan Schneider who owns the Football team had one of his Cadillacs being serviced.

The Escalades and V series are crazy expensive. And a lot of rich moms.

I have my 20 year old daughter my Black CTS Cadillac when I got a new car. She likes it. Funny she drives all her friends around in it.

The most important days in your life are in a Cadillac. Your wedding, your prom, your funeral all Cadillacs. And Escalades in Aspen Co I was shocked Billionaires all driving then.

I’m 37yo. Big family. We own a Cadillac Escalade ESV. It’s 22ft of America and I definitely felt guilty buying it. But my grandfather was a GM pensioner and think he would’ve been proud to see the crest in the driveway.

But lemme tell ya - that caddy moves like you read about. Hammer down and you’re at 90+ without a dang rattle.

Although I prefer my Honda Odyssey because it’s anonymous.

I don't think some of you have seen the latest models of Cadillacs because they do not look like old people cars.

It’s still an American made, plastic pos.

They aren’t luxury. They are for when you want someone else to drive you. They are roomy. I’m embarrassed for the moms who drive them. I assume they don’t know what they are missing in a real luxury car.
