Which lowbrow books do you love?

Enough of everyone one-upping each other with how sophisticated their literary tastes are. Which book is your guilty pleasure?

I’ll start with one of mine, which is Valley of the Dolls. My 20-year-old copy is falling apart because I reread it about once a year.

I love all the fantasy books by Tamora Pierce. Started reading them as a tween and still enjoy the storytelling. She made such rich worlds, I always thought they’d translate into fear movies.

I am, generally, a book snob. And yet, as a full grown woman, I got completely sucked in to the Twilight series. And the writing was NOT good. But I devoured all of the books in just a few weeks.

Too many children’s books(“unsophisticated” ones).
