Enough of everyone one-upping each other with how sophisticated their literary tastes are. Which book is your guilty pleasure?
I’ll start with one of mine, which is Valley of the Dolls. My 20-year-old copy is falling apart because I reread it about once a year. |
ACOTAR. |
Bridgerton series and similar historical fiction trashy novels. It is escapism at its best. |
Sweet Valley High |
I love all the fantasy books by Tamora Pierce. Started reading them as a tween and still enjoy the storytelling. She made such rich worlds, I always thought they’d translate into fear movies. |
*great movies |
I am, generally, a book snob. And yet, as a full grown woman, I got completely sucked in to the Twilight series. And the writing was NOT good. But I devoured all of the books in just a few weeks. |
Dick Francis! |
Too many children’s books(“unsophisticated” ones).
BTW, not a guilty pleasure. |
Harold Robbins ![]() |
Omg. You are my people. I love Valley of the Dolls with a passion, and IRL I know only one other person who liked Swet Valley High. This is awesome! |
da Vinci Code! |
Currently reading The Palace Papers by Tina Brown. Just finished two huge assignments and I need this. |
Guilty! |
Jessica or Elizabeth? |
