Horrific, traumatic and completely disgusting. How likely is it that this deranged perpetrator will be out and walking the streets again by morning?? Hope that nice lady on the other thread who looks out her window and waves at her neighbors did not happen to look out at this moment.

The charge was simple assault so seems unlikely he will do any time. The homeless population there has expanded about ten-fold n the last year or two. It’s a small square and I think everyone moved over from Franklin park when they cleared that encampment and it’s extremely crowded. There are a lot of arguments amongst the homeless population there. It also seems to me that a very high number might have something like fetanyl brain damage. It’s a totally different feeling than the homeless population that lived there several years ago. It’s way worse than anything I’ve seen in San Francisco or New York.

How clueless can you be? It is events like this which will permanently drive businesses and workers out of downtown. And when those buildings are empty, the owners won't be paying very much in real estate taxes, which will decimate city coffers. And No, the bulk of those office buildings are not suitable for redevelopment into residential, even if there WAS a rental market for people who want to live where they will have urine thrown on them when they walk outside.

Urine is not sterile in any circumstance.

Sterile, perhaps technically not (the air you’re breathing right now has more pathogens in it than urine, btw). Harmless? Almost certainly.
