Get cooler, what soups and chilis are you making?

We’ve already made a beef chili a few weeks ago.

Yesterday I did a spicy bean and sausage soup:

Today I made homemade tomato soup.

Sunday will be a cauliflower faux Tato soup.

We have a taco chili recipe from Publix.

My trainer gave me a black bean chicken chili recipe.

We also have a five ingredient parm, bean and pesto soup.

What are your cold weather favorites?

One of my go-toes is sausage, kale and white bean. I love my spouse's green chili with pork. And French onion soup, but that's more effort.

Just tried a good one that my mom made that had sweet potato, mushroom, kale and wild rice. Don't remember if it had beans or not but I think it must've since she's into making "complete proteins" with beans and rice.

Lamb sausage with lentils and Swiss chard

Chicken congee with lots of ginger for my kid who has been home sick for a couple of days. He's been living on that, smoothies, and popsicles.

Butternut squash soup with ginger, curry powder, and coconut milk.

I don't know the exact recipe but it involves pork shoulder cut into cubes (though my wife tells me she has also used boneless country style ribs or tenderloin when pork shoulder wasn't available or too big), cooked in a sauce that she makes out of either tomatillo or hatch green chilis (roasted in the oven first with onion and garlic) or both. I think it's something that she sort of made up and plays around with each time she makes it.

Ina Garten’s Italian Wedding Soup is amazing…so hearty and delicious. It takes some time to make, but worth it
