We are looking for a show to watch with our 8th grade son. In the past, he has enjoyed:
The Good Place Brooklyn 99 Cobra Kai Ted Lasso Obi Wan The Mandalorian Stranger Things was not a hit, and neither were most of the Marvel shows on Disney (he likes the movies well enough, but not the shows). Any suggestions of shows we can try with him? |

Eureka
Big Bang Theory Star Trek the Next Generation Merlin Doctor Who Friday Night Lights (Haven’t seen, but heard it’s good) Ever After |
| Parks and Rec? (Altho s.1 is a mess) |
| Schitts Creek and Superstore were hits for my 14y old during the pandemic. |
| The Office was a surprising hit with my 13y old |
|
Modern Family
Abbot Elementary Welcome to Wrexham |
|
Maturity levels are all over the place at that age.
Our 13 yo DS is watching breaking bad. Cousin same age, definitely wouldn’t get it. |
|
What's there to "get?" Seriously, I have seen the show and liked it fine, but there's really not too much that is subtle or nuanced about it. |

Swagger on Apple TV
Reservation Dogs on Hulu |
|
Alex Rider?
|
| My kids loved Seinfeld at this age |
| Office, Seinfeld, Parks and Rec, Derry Girls, Cobra Kai (but I got bored of that after a while, he probably would have kept watching). |
|
Reservation Dogs
The Good Place 30 Rock Derry Girls What We Do in the Shadows |
|
I second Reservation Dogs and Modern Family.
Also, perhaps Psych or A Series of Unfortunate Events? My kids loved, loved Stranger Things so we watched Squid Game as well. Very violent, but they loved it (13 and 15 year old boys). |
