Which schools have Middle School Math League team?

Which schools have a Montgomery County Middle School Math League team?

I can't find any info about the league itself and which schools participate, but some schools mention it in their club info packets.

DS was in the Math team in TPMS. I believe there are several divisions in MCPS. TPMS, Pyle, CJMS, and another two schools were in the same division. It was long time ago so things may have changed.

There is a mathleague.com, and a mathleague.org. Not sure if MoCo Math League team refers to one of these.
If it is mathleague.org, anyone can signup as a school coach, and then individual students from that school can register and attend these contests.

The name is is indeed extremely confusing.

I think both mathleague.org and mathleague.com are individual in-school contests. But I think the County Middle School Math League is an onsite "meet" series where teams travel to meet and compete against each other while working together as teams.

But I'm not sure.

I saw a post here a few years ago with some parents crowing about how Frost once beat TPMS in a math contest.

That victory was fleeting since a month or two later TPMS soundly beat them in the state finals.

I found results from last year.

.org:
https://mathleague.org/results/middleschool/

(Seems that less than 5 students in MoCo participate)

.com:
https://mathleague.com/index.php/annualcontestinformation

And registration for this year (maybe incomplete) and last year

https://old.mathleague.com/reglist/REGMD.HTM
https://old.mathleague.com/reglist/REGMD22.HTM

Shows a few schools.

So I don't know.

PPs who knows about Frost vs TPMS: Do you know what the proper name or website of the contest is?

I found out that pre pandemic, there were ~4 math meets (per team) per year where a school would visit another school (maybe 2 schools meet at a time? ). Pandemic stopped that.

This year, the "meets" will start isolated at each team's own school, but they might have real live meets later in the year if county Covid policy allows it.

Sorry I made an error. Robert Frost has 5 kids in honor roll.

if you check

http://amc-reg.maa.org/reports/generalreports.aspx

Select AMC 8 11/12/2019
School Honor Roll .

You will see in Maryland State
1. TPMS Silver Spring 74.0
2 Burleigh Manor MS, Ellicott City 70
3. ROBERTO CLEMENTE MS GERMANTOWN 69
4 University of Maryland, Baltimore City Baltimore 69
5. Robert Frost Middle School Rockville, 68

TPMS and RCMS should do better as magnet schools, but Robert Frost MS is doing great, and very impressive as the only one non MCPS magnet school in honor roll.

Do they play football like this too? I mean if football also has virtual games then I understand...

Mcps always emphasizes sports over academics. This example is no different. Shame on mcps, that’s why all other countries are beating us in the academic race. While we sit here on our asses watching football and twiddling our thumbs!

When DS did it 4 years ago, it was called Mathletes. Not sure if the middle schools still do it.

It almost has to be Mathcounts, it's the only big one in middle school.
