Supervised release for violent minor criminal offenders

Is this really how we should be handling these cases? Curious to hear others’ opinions.

Electronic monitoring should be automatic for supervised release. That said, these kids should not be out so quickly after what they did.

What does the monitoring do? Obviously these kids don’t give a dame about the monitoring devices. The monitoring device should be able to make alarm sound if the kid leave their house or is 100 feet away from their parents.
