Trick or Treating DC

Does anyone know if trick or treating will be on Halloween proper or sometime over that weekend?

IT IS ALWAYS ON HALLOWEEN, NO MATTER THE DAY OF THE WEEK OR WEATHER. 10/31 EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

I feel like making it to October 5 with this question is some kind of DCUM record. It's too bad this isn't pinned for the 50 others who will ask.

I have always heard of these mythical places where it isn't held on Halloween but I've never actually known anyone in real life who trick or treated on a different day.

My small hometown in Ohio does it the Sunday afternoon before Halloween, unless Halloween falls on a weekend. It’s from 2-4:00pm. Totally lame.

We are in Fairfax, but our school system just sent out a warning about Rainbow-colored fentanyl pills. It’s important to be on the lookout this Halloween.

We live in DC and our school warned us about razor blades in chocolates.

It is way to complicated to reschedule an ad hoc holiday. If you don't want to celebrate on the day go to a trunk or treating event on the weekend

It’s Halloween that is celebrated in DC proper, since suburb Halloween is soulless.

Jesus tap dancing Christ! This question, AGAIN?! Halloween is on October 31st! It's always been! Are you going to come back in December and ask if Christmas has been moved to the last Saturday of the month or if it's still on the 25th?
