Wapo endorsements

That was such a pathetic endorsement article. Light on content or explanation. It’s literally “Democrat bad….except that guy McDuffie who reducing criminal sentences…”

WTF?

It's not a new thing. The people who form the post editorial board endorse much more conservative than the DC average. If you look, you can find more explanation of the people who make the determinations.

They even endorsed Brandon Todd. Complete jokes.

I am beginning to look at these endorsements for who not to vote for.

This is revealing about how out of touch the Washignton Post Editorial Board is when it comes to endorsements:

The Post is basically irrelevant in Ward 3 which is probably the ward in which it matters most. Just imagine how little Post endorsements matter in Ward 8? But this is to be expected when a Maryland resident who has Maryland priorities instead of DC priorities in the primary person making the endorsements.

McDuffie's endorsement is laughable.

The Post is for Mayoral control of the school system and Charter schools.

DFER, funded by Koch Brothers, is the front for that. Goulet is the DFER candidate whose kids don't even attend school in DC.

Krucoff is the GOP candidate who is for retrocession to Maryland.

I’m sure you’re a big Bowser supporter. She’s also a DFER supported candidate. Go campaign against her.

This is my approach too. Basically I pick who to vote for and check if they were endorsed and if they were I seriously reconsider.

"Out of touch" isn't really the point -- they're not trying to predict who will win, they're saying who they prefer. I disagree with most of their local endorsements most elections, but the critique that they never back the winners seems sort of beside the point.

I can't get my head around the Post endorsing someone who supports retrocession over statehood.

Just so funny to watch all these progressives lose their marbles over the thought that anyone in the media would ever not endorse a Democratic. Just shows how broken the system is when their is outrage anyone in the media doesn’t fall in line. Not sure which party is the greater threat to democracy anymore.

Perhaps so, but it makes them irrelevant. Who cares who they prefer to win if those candidates never win?

You know you are far left if you call the Posts Editiorial Board conservative.

Krucoff is a repoublican. Of course he is conservative, whatever that means in the Trump era.
