TS almost never denies wrong stories in tabloids. If the story was wrong, silence is exactly how most people would expect TS to respond. Also to the PP who said People won't get this because Freedman resents their pro-Lively stance: this would not be up to Freedman. TS does not historically give info to DM. She does to People. So it is suspicious that DM is the only one with a source. I could be wrong and I wouldn't be shocked if it were true based on Scott's personality, but the way it's coming out is weird and doesn't feel correct to me. [/quote] I said it's happening from both ends. Taylor's side is not going to give it to People for a variety of reasons, with one being that she runs into danger of getting backlash from the Lively fans, some of whom have already started going on about how she's not a girl's girl and can't keep long-term friendships. And Taylor has been giving info out to DM for a while now. Take the blinders off. |

This thread has gone off the rails if someone actually thinks Taylor is at all fearful of Blake lively fans not thinking she’s a girl girl - you are either being deliberately obtuse or you know nothing about what is happening.
Taylor has all the cards here, she always has, and she always will. You don’t have to be a Swifty or follow breadcrumbs to see what’s happening. Taylor is emerging from vacation mode and still hasn’t made a statement to support Blake. The only statement she has made, was very embarrassing for Blake and showed all too well that she doesn’t support her. When Travis unfollowed Ryan, that was not a mistake or a random event, it was known it would make news in a matter of minutes, and it did. It was sending a clear signal. Taylor being seen and liking social media post and still staying silent speaks volume - further only about 100 press outlets have reported that the friendship is over for good. Including Deux Moi , which it has been known for years that Taylor’s people go to. Further, Gigi Hadid and others in the friend group are no longer associating with Blake and Ryan. Taylor sees that Blake dragged her into this, and she was forced to get her lawyers involved, she did, and now it’s over as is their friendship. this is not hard or a mystery guys. It just is what it is. |
Blake lively has fans? |
Touché. |
To be clear, I believe Taylor is done with Blake and agree with the above post on that.
I just remain skeptical of the DM report that Scott is the one who went to Freedman. Several aspects of that don't make sense to me. And while DM could have the scoop on that, the fact that no one can confirm keeps me skeptical. I am fine to be proven wrong, just don't buy it yet. |
I have no idea why you referenced my post to go on your spiel about why Swift doesn't support Blake. I don't disagree with any of that. She is obviously no longer friends with her and is making it known she could support her but hasn't. I'm just explaining that Swift is going for plausible deniability by going to Daily Mail as opposed to People or Entertainment Tonight in order to avoid angering any side, and is playing her cards carefully. She has, and has been able to extract herself out of this mess. |
Exactly this. Obviously Swift is not happy and wants to sever (has severed) ties with Lively. I do not understand how her camp going to Freedman serves that purpose. Stranger things have happened, but it also doesn't make sense to me at this point. |
The Scott Swift thing makes no sense because it is unnecessarily messy. Taylor has very good lawyers. There is no universe where it makes sense for her dad (who is smart but also has a rep as a hot head, especially where Taylor is concerned) to go to Freedman on his own volition back in February, and it especially doesn't make sense for Scott to somehow be brokering a deal with Freedman et al. That's why she pays Venable and other reps huge sums of money.
I also buy that Scott would leak the thing about Blake asking Taylor to delete messages, but the call between Gottlieb and Taylor's lawyer is a very weird thing for him to (1) have intimate knowledge of, or (2) be leaking to anyone when, again, Taylor's lawyers are directly involved and in a perfect position to use that info to Taylor's benefit. There is something weird about the Scott Swift story. I suspect aspects of it are true but that it's not the whole story. |
Honestly, does Ryan Reynolds have any fans? I feel like his insufferable obnoxious corny ass has been shoved down our throats for 20 years. Some studio boss must really adore him. Maybe the effeminate douche thing worked in the early 00s but in 2025 his shtick is beyond grating. He reminds me of Ellen. Shoved in our faces and nobody can figure out why. |
A lot of men love Deadpool and Reynolds. I know some of them. I have a guy friend whose favorite working actor is Reynolds. I don't personally get it but to each their own. I've never seen a Deadpool movie and have no interest, I liked Reynolds in his early career (Two Girls a Guy and a Pizza Place, the Proposal, some of his other rom-commy stuff). His public persona is grating but that's so, so common if highly successful celebs. Tom Cruise, JLo, Chris Pratt, and on and on. Being cool and chill is great, but not a prerequisite to being mega-famous and getting people to watch your movies. At a certain level of fame, "likeability" operates differently. |
I like Deadpool. It’s funny. |
See also Ryan Seacrest. These zesty men gotta be the boy toy of someone extremely powerful. |
Deadpool isn’t Ryan Reynolds. It would have worked with someone else. Just like Batman is played by various actors throughout the decades and is still wildly successful. |
That’s sort of all press and PR. Why does it matter so much? We don’t need Scott swift to show us the obvious. There was a huge rift and TS doesn’t believe BL |
