Cold Brew Coffee (smooth and mild)

Anonymous
Hi. I am looking for a smooth and mild coffee to make cold brew. I like the coffee taste but I do not like the harsh finish. Any ideas which coffee to buy and how to grind. Coarse or fine. I’m open to ready made but I like the idea of making my own.

Use a dark roast and always do a coarse grind. You want as much surface area to be in contact with the water. Use cold, filtered water for at least 18 hours. I use 1/3 c of the concentrate with about 3/4 c of water and then add some half/half. Perfect.

I use the Toddy: https://www.lacolombe.com/products/toddy-cold-brew-system?variant=29529302270065&utm_medium=Paid-Search&utm_source=Google&utm_campaign=DTC&utm_content=PMax&gclid=CjwKCAjw7eSZBhB8EiwA60kCW25Dkuxtl7cwddx-xacxjkOrHEEM4oyD4j6cqd4ZNjXGhSJq5iMidRoC1b0QAvD_BwE

Not sure what you’re looking for. PP’s answer is correct (and I also recommend Toddy).

We have an OXO cold brewer that is great. We also use a darker roast, coarsely ground. I don't dilute mine, since I like it strong, but people prefer it different ways.

Cold brew generally doesn't have a harsh finish because of the brewing method. Much smoother than most hot coffees, IME.

just buy the la Colombo cold brew in the yellow bottle.
