What say you all? I need to go to the grocery store, and the only time I'll be able to do it, is a break in the workday about 1.5-2 hours until I leave and get home. The eggs are organic regular grocery store eggs. It's somewhat cool, cloudy, and car shouldn't get too warm.
The eggs will be used for baking (home use), if it matters. |
| Absolutely! |
| I would bring them inside rather than in the car which will be hotter. |
| It will still get warm inside the car. Can you just take a cooler with you and stick the eggs in a cooler, or an insulated bag with ice packs? |
| It will be cool enough today, yes. I’d leave the windows cracked. |
| Take an insulated grocery bag. Ice pack if you have one. Nbd. |
| Just bring a thickish bath towel and wrap them in it. |
| I wouldn’t worry about this at all, but agree with the poster who suggested bringing them inside while you wrap up your work. |
| People on this board are nuts. |
| In real life, yes, absolutely. In DCUM bubble? Are you f'king crazy? OMG. |
Yes, yes they are. |
This. For the vast majority of human civilization, there was no refrigeration. But numerous posters believe that if you allow a chicken breast to come to room temperature for 45 minutes, you're basically trying to kill your family. Use your heads, people. |
|
You do not actually need to refrigerate eggs. Or butter for that matter. They go bad faster, but not like in 2 hours...
You will absolutely be okay, OP. |
| They will be fine. |
| They'll be fine; if it were me, I'd put them in an insulated bag, but it's not necessary. |
