There's a new sheriff in town . . . what's your favorite Western?

Anonymous
Last night I had three conversations with completely unrelated people about completely unrelated topics and they all used the phrase "there's a new sheriff in town". It got me thinking . . . DH and I have watched and enjoyed a few "modern" Westerns (The News of the World, Unforgiven, and True Grit come to mind), but we've probably missed a few and we never watch classic Westerns. If you're a fan of the genre, what would you recommend?

I'm referring to the original Magnificent Seven, of course. Haven't seen the reboot.

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly definitely needs to be on your list. Also the first two movies A Fistful of Dollars and For a Few Dollars More.

Amazon Prime has an expansive library of excellent Westerns. I’ve been down the rabbit hole last two weeks and found these gems;

- Missouri Breaks
- Old Henry
- True Grit (orig)
