We have a family trip to Naples, FL planned for next week (Leaving this coming Sunday and coming back the following Sunday). Am from the Midwest and unsure what the after math of a big hurricane would be. Would you still go or cancel the trip?
I would cancel. Just saw the Hyatt Coconut Point is not planning on resuming normal hotel activities until November 1 bc of the hurricane.
Yes, I'd cancel. I have a trip to Sanibel scheduled in December and I'm wondering if we'll need to cancel.
That I’d cancel. Where were you supposed to be staying?
Definitely cancel, I’m not sure they’ll even have power back by then.
You're kidding, right?
It’s selfish for tourists to immediately flock to an area that has been devastated. It’s in poor taste.
I suspect it will be cancelled for you.
Cancel. The devastation in that area is incredible.
You absolutely need to cancel. There is nothing left of Sanibel. It’s 95% under water. I wonder if they will ever rebuild once the water recedes. If it fully recedes. . In-laws go there every February but even they realize that’s not going to happen this year. |
Cancel
How is this a serious post.
Even if the place you are staying is not damaged, the power will be out for weeks.
Did you also post on 9/11/2001 asking if you should cancel your trip to NYC? On 8/30/2005 to ask if you could still go to New Orleans?
