Tough beef roast - can we do anything with leftovers?

Anonymous
I’m not sure what happened with this roast. I made it the same as always but it came out so tough. Only difference is I usually buy meat from Harris Teeter but they had none so I grabbed this from Safeway.

I hate to toss it because it was $25. Any ideas or is it a lost cause?

Make chili with it. It will tenderize cooking it low and slow. This is how I saved a tonight cook too.

Soup, or slow cook in the oven for 12-24 hours then turn into soup.

You can also throw it in a slow-cooker (or oven low and slow) with gravy for a few hours. Use for sandwiches or served over noodles, etc.

Slice it super thinly and use in tacos/burritos/quesadillas

You have probably done something already but just incase, cook in a pot of homemade tomato sauce for a few hours. You can slice it and serve with pasta or shred over pasta. Grated Romano cheese. Delicious!

I’m sure there’s a name for it, but meat paste!! Do you have an old fashioned food grinder? Food processors work, but not as well. Anyway grind the meat with some fat and some of the juices and it makes an insanely good sandwich spread.
