| Is this the best there is as far as middle school goes? |
I can’t say specifically about frost, but most middles schools in mcps are ripe with Lack of teaching /not enough Challenging classes…and the list goes on… |
| What are the flaws you see, OP? |
| Longfellow and Cooper are better |
| There are probably still buses after school going direct to prep centers. Ask around. |
| What is your issue? No one can really help when you’re this vague. My kids had fairly good experiences there. The principal is good. |
+1 Get your school assignment, get your cram school assignment. That’s the secret sauce of MCPS. |
Wrong county, Sherlock. |
Another Rockville resident here whose kids went to Robert Frost. My kids both had really good experiences there. Dr. Jones is an excellent principle. What is it about the school you don't like? I am curious. |
| Excellent school. Not sure what you are expecting for public middle school? Academically really great, very low staff turnover rate/first year teachers, safe, relatively diverse, student achievement is competitive…what about it is lackluster, other than the old building? We are overall very happy with it. Check out other MCPS middle schools and then revisit your perspective. In comparison, you will be so happy you’re at Frost. |
| I liked was way more impressed with my child’s middle school experience than my child’s high school experience. This was JW/RM. |
Did Larlo receive a C? |
| This is OP. I don’t find the work to be very challenging, it’s too crowded, everybody’s in “advanced” classes. We moved here from a much better school system. But sounds lif this is considered great among you folks I guess there’s no point in moving to another cluster. |
| Middle school is definitely the weakest link, across the board. But Frost is well-liked as middle schools go. It's old but it's not an overcrowded school, especially when compared to many other MCPS school buildings and the numbers of students crammed into them. |
um.. ok, maybe compared to WV, but not the rest of MCPS. |
