Hi everyone, I want to buy a wedding dress for an intimate early summer ceremony attended by 20-25 close friends. Nothing big or too expensive (below 1000 ideally). I just started looking but wanted to see if anyone has suggestions. Thank you

Suggest looking at bridesmaid dresses in white or ivory (or another color, if you like!). They tend not to be as expensive or frou-frou.

I had good luck with JCrew wedding, but that was several years ago. Their designs tend to more simplicity.

OP also go to Neimans and Saks sales racks.

My daughter got a beautiful one a Neimans for like $250.
It honestly was just luck.

Also Fairytale Brides Bethesda I think some dresses are new some are used lightly.

the bride wore this to a wedding we attended in August and it was perfect. I was surprised she got it from David's Friday but they have a whole collection of casual and short dresses.

We need more to go on! What's your size and shape? What's your typical style? Minimal, romantic, trendy? Are you someone who cares about clothing and/or designers in your everyday life? Do you care about fabric (like, are you picky if it's polyester vs. cotton or some kind of natural material)? Time of day for the wedding, what's the venue?
