Recurrent UTI infections

Anonymous
Does anyone have any recs on what to take for recurrent UTI infections, apart from antibiotics and enough fluids?
At the end of my rope here...
Do berry teas actually work? (the internet says zero evidence..)
Thanks to anyone who has advice.

I started using Uqora. Not sure if it works yet, but thought it was worth a try.

Daily cranberry pill (high concentration).

But really you probably need a low dose antibiotic, or to address the cause of the UTIs. That may mean surgery. Do you have a urologist and/or nephrologist?

D-Mannose supplements were life changing for me

Mine stopped abruptly and never returned once I started dating my now-husband.

So, changing your partner can be highly effective.

You need to wash after each bowel movement.

Mine turned out to be caused by a large, undetected kidney stone. Surgery needed to remove.

OP find a new doctor

This so not be happening
Sometimes Urologists misdiagnosis these because you present blood in your urine but it’s not that,

You need some other tests

And for me. I was getting a few UTIs a year and now they've stopped completely. Now I just take some D-Mannose in water just before I have sex.

OP, how frequently are you getting UTIs?

NP and I’ve been following the Uqora regimen for about 4 months now. No recurrent UTIs since.

I bought the drink powder and the 2 supplements. Now do a subscription and get monthly shipments.

Happy to give you more details and I promise I’m not a shill.

Found the company via Google search when I was on sick leave for a UTI.

Anecdata: I had a severe kidney infection as a very young girl-about 6. I had recurrent UTIs on my 20s and 30s. Reprieve in my 40s until I hit menopause at 48.

This sounds like me at 44. My mom has it too and we’ve been told it’s likely anatomy related. For me a bidet makes the biggest difference. Working from home has really helped with that.

I do the cranberry pills AND daily probiotic and D-mannose. It seems to ward off the issues and if i get lazy or forgetful they start right back up
