Anyone have one? I was considering buying one right before they raised the price by $1000. I like the size and look of it for the price but may not want to keep the monthly peloton subscription - anyone use it with that? We have a Nordic Track right now and the new ones are huge and Ifit has always been clunky. Not sure of a better brand for under $3500. |
If you don't want to pay for the monthly fee, look at sole fitness. They just came out with a new one that looks similar to peleton. |
If you're not actually wanting to use the Peloton program, I would not buy the Tread personally. |
Op here here. I do want to use the program but I'm not sure for how long. I'd like the option to use it without too. |
The app is cheaper per month than the all access program you use with the tread, and I think there’s a free trial with the app. So if you currently have a treadmill, sign up for the app to see if you’d enjoy their classes. If you don’t, just get a different treadmill.
I have a peloton treadmill and have had others in the past. I don’t think there’s anything special about the Peloton tread without the classes. I love having the screen right there with all of my metrics, and I like the classes. But if you don’t think you’ll like the classes, there’s no reason to get their tread. |
OP here - meant to add that we need to buy a new treadmill as the nordic track broke down and after 10 years, it is no longer worth fixing.

I got a tread last year for Xmas and i've really enjoyed it.
I wasn't exercising at all before the purchase, but i've used it pretty regularly and i'm seeing results. I do enjoy the classes but i watch the recordings rather than live classes. I don't have any treadmills to compare against, but overall i've had a good experience. |
I love my peloton tread. I started out with just the app (from a friend) and using the outdoor walking programs. Now with the tread I am using it much more and enjoy the classes a lot. There is much more than just walking/running. the strength training, stretching, yoga, meditation etc is excellent too.
highly recommend! FYI, if you go into their store, you can make an appt to come in and do a workout class to try it out |
I just went to the Peloton app and clicked on some of the walks to check them out. It’s telling me cost is $12.99 a day after the free trial. Is it really $390.00 a month for access?
|
The app costs more if you have the Tread. It’s crazy. I think it’s $39/mo vs $12.99 for app only. |
$12.99 a month for the app for one user It's $40 a month for all access - which you have to use if you want the full metrics on a peloton tread or bike but it includes the regular app and more accounts /people under that fee |
The Peloton app stated $12.99 a DAY - not per month. |
I've had the Peloton bike for two years and absolutely love it and have been salivating over the tread, but now that they raised the price, I just can't pull the trigger to do it. Everyone I know who has it loves it and says it's an excellent tread, Peloton aside, but they're all Peloton users like me. I don't see the benefit in getting it if you're not going to use the Peloton content, which would be $40ish a month for the full access (I like all their content, not just the bike, so to me it's worth having all access).
I place the Peloton tread in the high end category of fitness equipment. If you're looking to go high end but not Peloton, maybe check out Truefitness. My SIL is a runner and just bought their tread and raves about it. |
Nope, a month https://www.onepeloton.com/app?utm_campaign=26629827&utm_content=315508484&utm_medium=search&utm_source=google_search&gclid=CjwKCAjwhNWZBhB_EiwAPzlhNgc4_RMAlyJsczJSboR-R-SsudPgjHrKbUz0nuBpIC0YUzG7vozMRRoCGa4QAvD_BwE |
The Peloton treadmill looks and feels very cheap to me, which is ridiculous given the price! I'd go with the app and invest the money in a quality tread like a Woodway. |
