It’s awful.
Apparently it was known for a long time that oath keepers was actively recruiting from law enforcement and the military, but it was thought the OK’s hadn’t been successful. Wrong. |

Federal LEOs have background checks with actual teeth that inspect every part of their lives. Local LEOs background checks? Pathetically bad, especially if it’s a nepo hire. And then you have the elected LEOs who get no vetting at all. |
