I hope FCPS gets rid of them too.

| Snow days also apply to hurricanes and ice days. NYC pays for snow removal more than dc area does. |
| I am fine being scrooge. it is crazy they don't use technology to keep them learning. They are already so far behind. |
school could still be remote unless power outages are wide spread. also, what about the "snow days" where there is no actual snow and everything else is open? those are the days that should be remote. |
If there is that much snow out, let your kid go out and play in it if you want. Normally snow days here are because it is cold out, some portion of the county has icy roads while the rest of the county is fine. or there is enough snow in one part of the county to effect a particular pyramid while the rest of the county is fine. They are ridiculous. |
So keeping them home because it is cold out is a good solution? |
|
They should do online school on days called for “snow” when it is rally just that it is dicey to walk or drive the bus.
They should cancel entirely when there is real snow to play in
|
| If this comes to fcps, my kids will be coming down with a 12 hour snow flu on snowy days. |
| No more online school days ever. For some of our kids it was actually fairly traumatic. |
you do you. |
because they dont drive |
| Can’t drive if you live Clifton, Va or Great Falls in the snow. |
Love this take. |
| NYC never calls snow days. What happens is that many/most people don’t come in, and the city claims that they have to open for the kids who need school lunch. Teachers burn sick days and the kids just don’t come in. It isn’t any better than just calling it. |
