Upside of nuisance crimes in DC - it’s driving out the R’s and trumpers!

It seems to me most of the people outraged at ordinary petty crime in the city all seem to sound like MAGAs. They blow the same dog whistles and say the same things. So maybe there’s a hidden blessing in an uptick in nuisance crimes like car break-ins, robberies and carjacking. This occurred to me after reading all the “crime concern” threads and posts - and realizing they all sound like trumpers.

Bring on the petty crime then! If it’s driving these people out of the city then it’s a GOOD thing.

I wouldn’t say it something to celebrate, but I’ve had the same thoughts/observations. The people most vocal and pearl clutching about crime always seem to be cons. If that’s all that’s needed to get them to leave then I’ll put up with it.
