What age is too old for a twin bed?

| I need to buy my 1st grader a new bed. Room isn't huge, but I want it to be something that will last for a while. Do kids get too big for twin beds around a certain age? What do most people do? |

Yup, me too. I preferred it since it gave me extra space in my bedroom. My 5 y/o, though, has a full and insists he couldn’t possibly go smaller 🙄 |

Same. And my kids will have twin beds until they move out. I'm not sure when people decided kids "needed" bigger beds than that. When I was a kid, if you happened to have a big room that could fit more, you got a second twin bed for easy sleepovers! |
