| I need to buy my 1st grader a new bed. Room isn't huge, but I want it to be something that will last for a while. Do kids get too big for twin beds around a certain age? What do most people do? |
| I slept in a twin until I graduated college, then upgraded to a full. |
| Any age can have a tin bed. |
| Yes, buy the twin bed. |
| My 13yo DD asked to downsize from a full to a twin, because she feels her room is small and wanted more space. I slept in a twin until I was 20. |
| Some teen boys might eventually get too tall for a regular twin, but a twin XL takes care of that. |
Same! |
Yup, me too. I preferred it since it gave me extra space in my bedroom. My 5 y/o, though, has a full and insists he couldn’t possibly go smaller 🙄 |
| First post college apartment? 21? |
Same here! Twin is fine! |
|
My kid will
Sleep in her twin bed until she leaves home. I slept in a twin until I left home. |
Same. And my kids will have twin beds until they move out. I'm not sure when people decided kids "needed" bigger beds than that. When I was a kid, if you happened to have a big room that could fit more, you got a second twin bed for easy sleepovers! |
| We upgraded my 6ft son to a queen when he went to college (where everyone has a twin XL remember). My 20 year old 5ft daughter still has a twin. |
| My kids will have twin beds until they move out and decide to buy a bigger one. |
