An employee at our school has multiple DUI arrests. The most recent was a few months ago.
Are these supposed to be reported to MCPS? If so, what’s the penalty for not reporting? |
| Is this employee a bus driver? |
| I would not want a serious alcoholic near my child in ANY capacity. If they don’t formally disclose their arrests, do it for them, OP, anonymously. This is serious. |
| Short answer is yes. Source: the Employee Code of Conduct training that everyone was supposed to complete by yesterday. |
How do you know they had multiple DUI arrests? How do you know they aren’t reporting? |
+1 |
| You are supposed to report it. |
Hope it is not a police dept employee abusing their access to arrest records. That is against the rules also. Or is it your ex? |
Not sure how it works here, but when one of my coworkers got a third DUI in FCPS (5+years ago) I believe the police contacted the principal within a few days. But yes this is the same Virginia whose other county police simply “sent an email that didn’t go through” to the superintendent about an FCPS counselor who was picked up TWICE for solicitation of a minor.. |
PP the coworker was quickly hired by APS though so there weren’t any real so consequences :/ |
Yes. They are supposed to report it. Whether it affects there job probably depends on their job and the circumstances. |
| What kinds of arrests are they supposed to report? |
Not that poster, but you can look up anyone and anything on case search in Maryland. |
|
I don't think that DUIs are on the list of crimes you must report.

Not seeing DUI there. |
