Tips for Cirque du Soleil at Tysons - and parking

Anonymous
We splurged on tickets for this, never been with the kids (teens) and never in this area. Do I really need to buy parking? Aren't the Galleria garages close enough? We were planning to get dinner at the mall before going over. Any tips or recommendations? Thanks!

OP here - forgot to ask - how early should we arrive? Thanks!

You can park in the mall lot and walk across the street. All the signs will tell you that you can't, that you will be towed, etc. But a ton of people do it, no one tries to hide it and no one gets towed. We've done it 3 times now without issue. Obviously YMMV, but that's been our experience. It says "for Tyson's customers and employees only." Well, I AM a Tyson's customer, just maybe not that day, haha.

Just because you got away with it once means nothing.

3 times in a row,, since before Covid and including this year. There were at least 100 other groups doing the same thing. No issues.

OP here. Thanks for the info on parking. We plan to have dinner in the Galleria so I feel comfortable parking in the garage! Thanks, again!

Thanks OP - just got tix for our family. Nice to have something to look forward to. This will be our first real outing in a long time and although I've been, this will be my DCs first.

OP here. "Only $20"? That's outrageous. We parked in the garage immediately adjacent to the Event parking garage. We had dinner inside Tysons Galleria and then walked over to the show - where popcorn was $12 and a reusable bag was $10 (they sell them at Wegmans for $0.99). I don't begrudge Cirque du Soleil the price of admission, it's an amazing event, but parking, refreshments and souvenirs are different.

Thanks, 11:25, great advice!
