Does anyone think the IRS hiring signifies student loan forgiveness?

i bet most people aren’t going to object to loans being forgiven but I’m sure they’ll have to take some kind of action I doubt it will automatically be done

No. The IRS has been understaffed for years. They’re trying to hire for that and clear the backlog of other stuff…

They have been cutting the IRS's budget for several years. Even more under Trump. The VA hasn't had its budget cut. They just suck at what they do. Signed, woman married to retired military man.

Certainly in the past the IRS has engaged the likes of Big 4 consulting companies to recommend channels for outreach to those that might qualify for the Earned Income Tax Credit.

It’s an ad for IRS law enforcement officers. Every federal agency has gun toting law enforcement officers. Even the Federal Reserve and EPA. Someone has to protect premises, provide physical security, etc.
