| Last minute trip to Fort Lauderdale and thinking of booking at the Fort Lauderdale Marriott Harbor Beach Hotel, but want to make sure my family will be happy with the lodging arrangements. Please share your experience if you have stayed at this hotel. Thanks in advance! |
| I would try Trip Advisor. |
| I stayed there a long time ago. It's a great place, IMO |
| I loved it! Very kid friendly |
| I love it. One of my favorites next to lago mar. Can’t go wrong with either. |
| OP here, thanks so much for the great feedback! Now I can’t wait to see it! |
| I stayed there with 2 kids for a 3 day weekend. Great trip and we all loved this property. I look forward to returning. |

We were there a few years ago and not a fan. They sell passes to the locals to use the pool and beach so it gets crowded and filled with some rough looking people.
I would go to JW Marco Island instead. |
These two are not even remotely in the same area. |
And the JW is double the price. |
1. OP said they were thinking about booking so nothing confirmed. 2. We have stayed at the JW numerous times and have flown into FLL to save on $ when Ft. Myers is too pricey. It is a 1:50 drive. I would say that is remotely in the area. 3. As far as price, you get what you pay for. |
but worth it. |
| Had a great week there in 2021. Is it the greatest resort ever? No... but it is pretty, water was great, and it's a close ride from the airport. I would recommend. I do remember the pool getting crowded but it wasn't obnoxious... just full. |
| For Ft Lauderdale it is nice because it is on the beach and not across the street from the beach like the Westin, W, etc. We went for spring break pre-covid and I agree about the rough looking people - not sure if local or guests. Lots of loud, aggressive people that grab chairs at 6am and start drinking shortly thereafter. But a lot of Ft Lauderdale is that way. Blue collar NY, NJ, MA. |
A 2 hour drive? That’s like saying I want to stay in DC and someone recommends a hotel in Richmond. |
